Set back across the street from Chincoteague Bay, Homestead sits on 30 acres of basically pristine land. A cozy cottage, originally built in 1890, had been updated but the owners kept the original charm of yesterday but with the comfort of today. Now that charm and comfort has been expanded. A new addition offers a great room with a modern kitchen, dining area and room to stretch out and relax. The design includes oversized windows, sliding doors and a sky light. The house now has 2 screen porches and a balcony that lets you feel as though you are living in in a nature preserve! Homestead sleeps 5 but best suited for 4 adults. There are now 2 full sized bathrooms. Amenities include bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas: games, crayons and colored paper and good parking. And as part of the property, you?ll vacation alongside the oldest home on the island, The Captain Timothy Hill House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. With a tidal pond in front and unspoiled woods in back, Homestead is private, quiet and with lots of room outside. A perfect retreat! So relax on one of the porches, feel the breeze from the bay, watch the animals and birds that come by or take an outside shower under the stars. Villa 118 at Sunset Bay boasts an en suite bedroom with king bed, private bath featuring a stand up shower AND a bathtub - along with private outdoor patio access from the bedroom. Two other bedrooms feature a king in one, and a twin in the other. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area with coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, electric range, and plenty of countertop for that family seafood feast you will want to make while you're with us. A cozy living area with a flat-screen, but in all honesty - it's hard for anything to contend with the view of the marina. Stately appointed, top of the line furnishings throughout the villa. A master bedroom suite with jetted tub, for relaxing after an exhausting day at the beach. Or use the beautiful tiled shower for a quick rinse to knock the salt off. Put on your robe and slip out the private exit to the waterfront deck to catch the sun as it sinks below the horizon. There are two additional bedrooms, both with queen beds. A full bath in the hallway, washer and dryer, and a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with breakfast bar and dining table for enjoying meals together. The open floor plan allows everyone to enjoy time together in the shared spaces. Plenty of books and DVDs to keep you occupied on rainy days, or enjoy the pool or crabbing on the dock on the sunny ones.
