Great family experience!

This was our 12th year vacationing with our family on CI. We have also used Chincoteague Resort Reality all 12 yrs. This was our first year staying in a house for the entire week. We were a little concerned with there being only one full bathroom. the outside shower was used a fair amount so we made due, but running water two places at the same time did affect the water pressure in full bath shower. I didn't realize there was not going to be a DW, although the listed amenities did not specify one. The kitchen was a bit small (table has 6 chairs but 2 are behind table and not usable as there is not enough space to pull table out and use). Table in enclosed porch was used. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. Sofa and one winged chair in living room are in need of being replaced. Springs or frame in sofa are broken and wing of one of the chairs is broken. Beautiful rugs in LR and 1st flr bedroom. Bedrooms were spacious. House had a nice yard and deck, although trees and shrubs need to be cut back a bit. Enclosed front porch was nice but needs updated, especially the screen door.Location was great - close to downtown and the bay for kayaking. Despite some of the shortcomings of the house, it provided a very homey and comfortable space for our Chincoteague family vacation!

This house needs work. Rotting Floorboards in front Screen Porch needs renovation. Side Entrance right railing is broken & I almost fell leaning against it.Side Entrance steps & floorboards need paint. Living room walls need new bright plain wallpaper or paint. The room is too dark & the current wallpaper is awful (my opinion) The air conditioner & fans are great. Beds are comfortable. The washer/dryer room is terribly dirty & unorgnized. The water heater is the size of a small propane tank. Ran out of hot water after 1shower. Outdoor shower needs a bench & more hooks. The new deck is nice but did not have a picnic table like the one shown in your listing. There was no soap in the bathrooms which should be provided. We had a wonderful week & family reunion at our cottage on the bay off of North Main St. We are planning on a rental again for next year.

My favorite part of the house was the front porch. The house had everything we needed for a family of 5. I, the mom, especially enjoyed the outdoor shower! Yes, it's an older home, and some of the upgrades feel a little like bandage fixes, it still held on to its charm. We loved the close location to town and the short walk to a dock to see the sunset. We totally slowed down and experienced 'island time'.

Our stay was really good except for the stove being broken and leaking gas in the house. Chincoteague Resort Vacations was very quick on sending someone to check it out and made sure we had a stove for the rest of our vacation. Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay, and would definitely do it again. Love the Island and this cute full of character home was in a great location.

Chincoteague resort reality was very helpful. Nicolette did an amazing job making booking a breeze. I loved the welcome bags that were given such a great touch and all the extras.As far as Serendipity it needs a lot of tlc. The carpets were very dirty, the living room furniture was broken and I had to cover with sheets, the screen on front porch was falling off (office offered to fix but the bugs were not bothering us so we declined) , porch was extremely dirty I mopped it twice and paint is peeling off the floor. The inside of house needs new paint also . The house is super cute despite needing some upkeep and it could be very cozy. The back porch is also very dangerous with nails and rusted screws popping out, broken wood with splinters, and an old shower door laying beside the outside shower. Flower beds are also all overgrown and were covering the side door entrance. I cut some of it back. Again I thank you so much for your hospitality and I plan to book again next year somewhere new!

We love Serendipity!I have been vacationing in Chincoteague with my family for the past 39 years, and my husband and I have been staying at Serendipity each summer for the past 10 years. We love the house, and we love the island. Chincoteague resort vacations makes check in and check out very easy, and the staff in the office are always pleasant and professional.
