We loved staying at Changing Tide! We've rented multiple houses in Chincoteague over the years, and this one was the nicest, cleanest, and most well cared for of them all. The house was very clean, tastefully decorated, and comfortable. I especially appreciated the sparkling window air conditioners in the attic rooms. They had clearly been well maintained and had no signs of dirt nor mold, even by the end of the summer season. The washer and dryer were also clean and well maintained. We also loved the deck and ate dinner outside every evening! It was fun staying in town, close to amenities, and yet Cleveland Street was nice and quiet throughout the day. Here are a list of minor improvements that can make Changing Tide even better: - Hang a some mirrors in the bedrooms and around the house. There's currently only one mirror in the bathroom for a house that can sleep 7. - Update house instructions to include guidance on recycling - what can be recycled and how to recycle it (i.e. renter has to drop it off at the town facility) - Add a no-slip pad under the living room rug. My elderly mother struggled to get off the couch because the rug would slip under her feet each time she tried to get her footing. - Renters plan to bring their own body soap, shampoo, and laundry detergent, but rental houses generally provide dish detergent and a sponge in the kitchen and hand soap in the bathroom as a common courtesy. This house had hand soap in the bathroom but no dish detergent nor a sponge in the kitchen. We bought both and left the sponge for the next renter. - Update the house listing to indicate that there's a driveway. I recall only seeing street parking listed, but there is a driveway and it can accommodate multiple cars. Wonderful house - thank you again! Theresa

This home was very clean and comfortable to stay in. The space felt open with the charm of an older home but the conveniences of a modern home. Just a short walk to all the shops and restaurants on Main Street. I would definitely stay again.

Charming vacation rental with a lot of special features!!! The kids had a blast exploring! We loved the crab door knocker, old fashioned ring doorbell, open windows between the front porch and house, and a large spacious area upstairs. My husband and I loved having an outdoor shower, and back deck. We had a wonderful stay!! Such a beautiful place!

Our family loved this house. It was close to Main Street and walkable to shops and the waterfront. All the bed were comfortable and our 7 year old loved the bedroom upstairs. However her parents did not like climbing the steep steps. This bedroom would not be a good choice for elderly or people with problems with stairs. We love how the house was decorated. It was clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Changing Tide was a great rental! It was spacious and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with nice dishes, pots and pans, and utensils (not just leftover mixed matched pieces from a yard sale). The furniture was comfortable. It was located in town close to the grocery store, shopping and the park. The management company was easy to work with and the rental process was simple. Loved the keyless entry!
