This lovely home provides nightly sunsets that the whole family cherishes and comfortable living spaces. We have been going to Chincoteague for 33 years and this is our favorite rental location and home

Could use a couple of improvements such as clothes dryer not working properly and could use a gas grill instead of charcoal. Other than that it was a great place for my family. A lot of room and the family loved the dock for crabbing and kayaking!

Hi there no complaints. The place is a gem as always and the service great. One suggestion though since we have been renting and/or coming to the island for 13 years! We love the place dearly but was thinking perhaps you may want to think of some kind d of loyalty programs for those of us that come year over year. We’ve also brought a large number of people over the years who have all rented with you so perhaps also a referral program. Just a thought.

We had a great time. Plenty of room for all of us. The dock was great for boating,fishing and crabbing and raking for clams(didn’t catch much but had lots of fun). Beautiful sunsets every night. ��❤️ Big dining room table with plenty of space for eating and playing board games and cards with the kids (and adults) Love this place. ��������

This house was beautiful, fit our family perfect. This house was spacious clean and beautiful. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay. Looking forward to next year, we will probably book again. Just watch out for those skeeter. The view was spectacular and the dock was perfect for our kids to crab. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We have stayed in this house 4 times now and have the best experience. This house accommodates our large family of 10. We love the fully furnished kitchen that even has a large capacity ice maker that we put to use. We love the updates that the owners have done with the new flooring throughout and the addition of a 5th bedroom and the large t.v in the sitting room (great for family movie nights). This home always provides the best views of the sunsets. The dock is long but the long, but the bay is perfect for swimming, crabbing and clamming. The laundry room has a great sink/counter set up to clean the fish you catch. The house has a great screened in porch to enjoy the cool bay breeze or keep you away from those pesky mosquitos. This house never disappoints!

We loved the house and the long dock- great time with the kids and family. One draw back was that there was no gas grill (which doesn’t say in the listing). The charcoal grill is also small (fits six hamburgers at a time) and that was hard for our family since we grill most of our food to keep kitchen cleanup easy while on vacation. House otherwise was great, seems like it had newer flooring, so no smelly rug like the other reviews mentioned.

Lovely stay a beautiful Castlebar. Large enough for 2 families. Cozy enough to reconnect around the fireplace. The carpet on the stairs and in the bedrooms definitely need to be replaced. Or at least shampooed. We didn’t want to walk barefoot. That dirty!

The house is lovely and location fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The carpet does need to be replaced in the house on the staircase and the second floor. It is too nice of a house to have yucky carpet. We were surprised by the cleaning instructions. I didn't think I would have to vacuum and have an unloaded dishwasher when we had a cleaning fee. I have never seen it so strict with a rental house, and it annoyed me. Other than that, the house was great.

Picture does not do the house justice! Beautiful location. The elevated walkway (your private boardwalk) to the LARGE dock was amazing. We used the dock daily to fish, read, and relax. It was easy to launch our kayaks from the dock. We will be back to this beautiful home.

This is such a special home and location. The views were awesome and it felt very private and quiet. Plenty of plates, cookware, and even a small stock of spices and pantry items left behind by others. Note that linens & towels are extra, we opted to bring our own. At the time of our visit in April 2021, the listing hadn't been updated to indicate 1 king, 2 queens, & 4 twins. Packing a dish sponge, dish towels, a good chefs knife, and laundry soap came in handy. Overall lovely rental and agree with another reviewer that it is likely the best spot on the island!

Staying at this Chincoteague house was a wonderful experience and we're planning to go back. The location on the bay with a very long well-built dock takes you out to the water and leads you through a beautiful marsh full of shore birds. Quiet location. The real wood burning fireplace was nice to have for the cool evenings during our March visit. The two adjacent houses are also very nice quiet neighbors.

Our family loves this open, bright house nestled in the beautiful marshes off Chincoteauge Bay. Waking up in the morning to the various wading birds and the sunset off the dock can't be beat. It you like quiet and beauty and a beach part of our beautiful National Park system, than this is the spot for you.Bedrooms and bathrooms all lovely with lots of room and open space. A dock that meanders through the marshes and opens out into the Chincoteauge Bay with swimming off the dock. Kitchen large and open with table looking out to the bay. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the beauty that Castlebar has to offer.

Luxury waterfront home in Salt Marsh Landing - an upscale residential community on the northern tip of Chincoteague Island. Spectacular sunsets! A long, private pier over the salt marsh leads you to a bay front dock area with shade. It's perfect for crabbing, fishing or canoe and kayak launching. Tastefully appointed and architecturally pleasing, Castlebar features a main level great room flanked by wall of beautiful custom windows and high cathedral ceilings. The views of Chincoteague Bay are priceless. The open kitchen area features ample counter space for meal prep, and the large harvest dining table is perfect for gathering the whole group for a meal. There are hardwood floors, and a two-sided fireplace that is shared with the adjoining cozy den. The first floor also features a full bath and large bedroom that looks out on the bay. The second floor hosts the primary bedroom suite, containing a private bath with separate shower and whirpool tub. A sliding french door leads out to a balcony providing more views of the bay to enjoy. Two additional bedrooms and full bath complete this floor. Amenities also include a private, full sized outdoor shower, wireless internet service, additional under-counter ice maker & more. Castlebar is available year round!
